Hey, back from your trip :) I still have that video of you going off the track. I can't wait for the next track event :) Later Pete : : That's me in the red Z. I couldn't use my original #9 because the organization that we ran with, required 3 digit numbers.
: The off track thing was not very cool. It's not very smart driving when you go off course. I was just out of sync for that day. Pushed it a little too hard for that turn. Went 4 wheels off twice on that turn, and was lucky enough to have the photographer catch me both times during those embarressing moments. I haven't over-cooked a corner and gone 4 wheels off in years. Probably 2-3 years, or about 6-7 track events. That day, I went off 3 times. Total embarrasment. I think all the traveling I do with work, and not driving a car at all for weeks and weeks, is really effecting my feel of how the car handles. : You rarely, if ever see body contact. Usually the safetly of the event depends heavily on the orgainzers and the rules of the day. Everybody does it slightly different. Some are more relaxed about aggressive driving, while others are more restrictive. : If you have any more questions, check out the FAQ page of the Club Z Track Page : Jacksonville, FL.... : You got Sebring, Daytona, and one more other track down there... Don't remember it's name. You can also check out the famous Road Atlanta Raceway near Atlanta,GA. : Usually, the safest oranizations to run with, are the marque sports car clubs (BMW,Porsche,Audi,ClubZ). Go for it. It's a lot of fun. You'll never look at your car the same way again. The 300ZX is a very fast car at the track and can run with most of the best of them at Stage III. : I noticed your at Stage III and in Florida. I wouldn't recommend you going out on a hot day w/o some cooling modifications. If you don't, keep a very very very close eye on your temp gage. If it goes above half way, I'd pull off, or take it easy untill it comes back down. Have fun.
